On Saturday, December 15, we witnessed genuine holiday cheer at our annual client “Toy Store” – each year, we transform our Food Pantry into our very own gift shop, where clients come to choose gifts for their loved ones.

We had volunteers from the Marine Corps Base Camp PendletonAbiding Savior Lutheran Church and School, and so many of our own volunteers and staff showed up to make sure the day was as magical as it sounds.

One client, a single mom with three boys said, “Without this service, my kids would wake up with nothing to open on Christmas morning. They already struggle during the school year with bullying from other kids who have more than they do; this means so much. Thank you.”

We are so grateful to everyone who participated, donated, and shared in this Christmas wish. Another client, Lisa, is a senior Food Pantry client who was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lymphoma – combined with her disability, she would have been unable to have any gifts for her grandchildren or family this year. She said, “I am so grateful to South County Outreach for this service.

Thank you!
