South County Outreach had the opportunity to film a series of fun and helpful cooking videos with some of our local partners. Sometimes, people struggle with finding creative ways to make meals that are quick and healthy, especially with ingredients that are unfamiliar or new.  Our “From the Pantry” cooking series shows how easy it is to prepare fresh and healthy meals all from items found in our South County Outreach food pantry.

Check out our video featuring Chef Bill Bracken of Bracken’s Kitchen prepare a tasty Chicken and Vegetable Stir Fry using seasonings, oils, fresh vegetables and meat all from our food pantry. A big thanks to Chef Bill Bracken, as well as Torrey Tayenaka and the team at Sparkhouse for helping bring this series to life.

South County Outreach’s Food Program provides your family with the nourishing ingredients and staples — like milk, butter, eggs, protein, and fresh produce — needed to make full and nutritious meals. When our clients visit our Food Market, they control the cart and what goes in it, just like in your local grocery store. This way, they can best accommodate their family’s tastes, cultural backgrounds, dietary restrictions, and nutritional needs. Learn more about our food program by visiting www.sco-oc.org/get-help/food-program/.
