The Orange County Register each year attempts to shine a spotlight on some of the people who made the county special. Some of them are names you know; others are names you should. South County Outreach congratulates our very own President & CEO, LaVal Brewer, for being named one of OC’s 125 Most Influential People for 2022!
Under his leadership, SCO has accomplished a significant amount for those who need it most. LaVal led a group that served 6,189 people in the fiscal year that ended in 2022. In that time, SCO provided 731 households with rental or utility assistance, which was 400% more than the previous year. In addition, SCO distributed 758,270 pounds of fresh and nutritious food through our food market. Well-done to LaVal and the entire team & volunteers of South County Outreach!
