  • “In the aftermath of domestic violence and the loss of my 13-year career, this year has been a year of surviving … Thank you so much for helping us put food on the table when the budget was $0!! There is nothing worse as a mother than to know that your kids’ stomachs are empty. Thanks for warming our hearts and souls with the help you provide to help us survive and recover from trauma.”

  • “South County Outreach has been such a blessing to me, not just for all the great food they have given but also for the [advice] I received from the homeless Prevention Case Manager, Jessica. When I came in for utility assistance I was encouraged at the age of 51 to go back to college for a degree in accounting. This is all because I met with Jessica, I have a hopeful future now.”

  • “A former client called to make a substantial donation. It was awesome to hear was her story. She said that she had a difficult time asking for help, yet everyone she encountered at South County Outreach treated her with respect and kindness – and gave her dignity.”

  • “Thank you for your assistance with food this month! It is so appreciated! The volunteers are so kind and thoughtful. Again, thank you for your generosity!

  • “[Our care worker] has been superior in helping me to receive the assistance that I needed. Not only did [she] go over and beyond to assist me; she helped me to see different options and and really encourage and motivated me to keep going in life. Every time I contacted her, I received prompt replies and she just really made me feel like I wasn’t alone in the situation. Since receiving rental assistance; I am now a full time employee with a great company that allows me to be financially stable again. I really appreciate and love the kind hearted donors, volunteers and everyone else that make South County Outreach such a blessing.”

  • “We are beginning to heal as a family and laugh as a family and make plans for the future.”

  • “South County Outreach has changed our lives in every way imaginable – I have a job, I have my kids with me, I have a place to live – everything’s on track.”

  • “South County Outreach came to my rescue so many times and gave me so many opportunities.  I would not be where I am without them.”

  • “For me the most important part of life is family and whatever you can do to help a family it makes a change in the world.”

  • “Ray Havert and I lived in the same neighborhood for many years, so I was familiar with his efforts to get South County Outreach off the ground.  Ray would be so pleased to know that his vision is continuing to make such a huge difference in the lives of so many needy families.  It warms my heart to see clients being helped in such a tangible way.  I am blessed to play even a small part.”
