Thank you for making Empty Bowls 2016 a success
Empty Bowls is an international event to fight hunger, hosted on a community level with support from local artisans, chefs, businesses, groups and individuals. Our fourth annual fundraising event took place on March 24, 2016.
Our guests gathered for a simple, savory meal of soup prepared by local chefs. Each guest received a handmade ceramic bowl as a reminder of those here in Orange County whose bowls are truly empty.
Since 1989, South County Outreach has been providing hunger and homeless prevention services to individuals and families in crisis in South Orange County. We help those in need reach self-sufficiency with our food pantry, housing programs, utility and rental assistance, homeless prevention counseling and computer training.
For every 90 cents raised from Empty Bowls, you will help provide much-needed food, housing and other resources to the unemployed, under-employed, seniors, veterans, disabled and children in South Orange County.
South County Outreach needs the support of local residents and the Orange County business community to provide almost 52,000 services each year. With your help, we change lives every day.
