Our Work:

South County Outreach's vision is to End Hunger & House Hope in Orange County.

How do we do that? Through the help of our volunteers, like the 1,500+ men and women who give their time to us each year, or the hundreds of food & clothing drives our fellow neighbors host to fill our Food Pantry and Thrift Store.

We do it through our impactful fundraisers, like the annual Festival of Trees or our spring favorite, Empty Bowls. We do it with your help.

Go ahead, get involved with us. We’re ending hunger and homelessness. Together.

Volunteer

Volunteers are crucial to South County Outreach services. In the last five years, 8,765 volunteers have worked to improve lives. In 2017, we had 260 regularly scheduled volunteers and 1,526 occasional volunteers. We’re always looking for new faces and stories to make an impact with us. Whether it’ll just be you, your family, or your whole office… Volunteer Today!

Host a Drive

Community Food Drives make up 35% of our food donations. We had 3,800 food donation pick-ups in 2017, and there are a ton of ways to host a drive.

Donate

Your tax-deductible gift will provide vulnerable Orange County families with nutritious food and assist them in finding housing and jobs in order to become safe and self-sustaining.

Attend an Event

Each year, we hold events and fundraisers to support our mission and bring the community together. Join in on the impact by attending or sharing the event with your friends and family.

Shop at Upscale Resale

To further support our agency’s mission, we operate a local thrift store— Upscale Resale! Shopping, donating, or volunteering at Upscale Resale is a great (and fashionable!) way of supporting South County Outreach.

Build a Backpack

We believe preparing our children for success in their education is a top priority. Every year, we hold a Backpack Drive to collect supplies for K-12 students in need to get them feeling confident and prepared to start the school year off right.
