We are haJohanna headshot cropppy to welcome Johanna Stickles as our new volunteer coordinator.

She is responsible for working with the more than 250 volunteers who assist in our food pantry, office, thrift store, computer learning lab and who help with our special events and holiday programs. Johanna will make sure that we have enough volunteers to help our clients and to keep South County Outreach running smoothly. She will match volunteers’ skills and interests with our needs to optimize both the volunteer experience and the organization’s operations.

South County Outreach has only eight full-time employees with the addition of Johanna so volunteers are extremely important. Last year we had a total of 1,300 volunteers logging 36,000 hours.

Johanna comes to us from Talbot’s where she spent five years working in management and gaining valuable experience training new employees. Her passion for the nonprofit world comes from great experiences she had volunteering with MADD and the Girl Scouts.

A graduate of Cal State Fullerton with a degree in communications, Johanna is a lifelong Orange County resident who lives in Mission Viejo. When she’s not at South County Outreach or working at events promoting the organization, you might be able to find her line dancing.

Please contact Johanna if you are interested in becoming a volunteer: jstickles@sco-oc.org or 949-380-8144, ext. 217.
